The South Walton Fire District (SWFD) has been “serving from the bay to the beach” for 35 years now and celebrated with their 6th annual Fire Prevention “All You Can Eat” Pancake breakfast on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018.
With drive time “from Freeport to the beach” now reduced to about 20 minutes, the incentive to live “inland” is even more pronounced—and Freeport is BOOMING!

A group of Walton County residents has incorporated “Safe Water for Walton, Inc.,” as a Florida non-profit organization - primarily to continue community opposition to a “deep injection well” State permit that would allow toxic landfill leachate to threaten the regional water basin.
Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is one of South Walton's jewels. The park is on the western end of Scenic 30A where it meets Hwy 98, encompassing two coastal dune lakes and three miles of beautiful beach.
