Protecting Florida’s Coast Film & Discussion at Idyll Hounds Sep 22

In collaboration with Healthy Gulf, 350 Pensacola, and Climate Together Pensacola, Idyll Hounds Brewing Company will host Protecting Florida’s Coast, an evening of documentary films and discussion about the latest plans for offshore drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and the threat to Florida’s coast and beaches.

Beginning at 7PM on Thursday, September 22, the four short films highlight grassroots movements around Gulf oil drilling, impacts from the 2010 BP oil disaster and the revolution in clean energy.

Fallapalooza at EO Wilson Biophilia Center Sep 24

The E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center in Freeport will host Fallapalooza on Saturday, Sep. 24 from 9 AM - 2 PM.

The nature-based festival is open to the public and everyone is invited to experience the Biophilia Center with festival games, animal encounters, and more! Grab a treat from Sweet Millie's or some lunch from Copper Grille and enjoy it on the terrace while you watch the foxes play.

SoWal International Coastal Cleanup Sep 17

The Walton County Tourism Department, along with the Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles, will once again host an International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) day on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 9AM – 11AM.

Both residents and visitors are encouraged to participate. Volunteer Beach Ambassador teams will be hosting teams at five South Walton Regional Beach Accesses listed below.
