Fore Her Pink Run Returns to Baytowne Wharf Jan 31
January 26, 2026 by SoWal Staff
The Village of Baytowne Wharf is about to get a vibrant splash of pink. On Saturday, Jan. 31, at 8:30 a.m., the community will gather for the annual Pink Run 5K and Walk, a signature event presented by Emerald Coast Hospice to benefit Fore Her. Whether you are a competitive runner, a casual walker, or a survivor celebrating a milestone, this morning is all about coming together to support local breast cancer patients in financial need.
Registration is open now—secure your spot and find full race details at PinkRunBenefitingForeHer.itsyourrace.com.

The morning kicks off with a timed 5K that winds through the scenic grounds of Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Participants of all ages are encouraged to "pink out" their gear, with prizes often awarded for the most spirited costumes. Immediately following the race, the atmosphere turns toward reflection and celebration with the Survivor Stroll, a heartfelt walk around the Village that honors those who have fought and continue to fight breast cancer.
“Every year, Emerald Coast Hospice Care looks forward to being an integral partner in the Pink Run,” says Melody Joy with Emerald Coast Hospice. “We continue to be blown away by the work that Fore Her does in our community, where we so often have a front-row seat to the needs of breast cancer patients while they are enduring treatment.”
The celebration doesn't stop at the finish line. The official After Party at the Baytowne Events Plaza will feature a live DJ, a photo booth for team photos, and a sampling of delicious breakfast bites. Survivors can also enjoy the exclusive VIP Survivors’ Lounge, sponsored by Spa Lilliana, providing a comfortable space to relax and connect with others.
Fore Her was founded by Amy Walsh in memory of her mother and aunt, both of whom lost their battles with breast cancer. Since its inception, the organization has been a lifeline for women in Northwest Florida, providing financial assistance for everything from rent and mortgage payments to utilities and medical bills, allowing patients to focus on their recovery rather than their finances.
