Made in Walton County - Songwriters Showdown March 26

Join SoWal music lovers for an evening of tunes & competition from Cultural Arts Alliance Of Walton County on Thursday, March 26 from 6 - 8 p.m. at The Pavilion at Watersound Town Center for the 'Made in Walton County' Songwriters Showdown, where local songwriters take the stage to share their homegrown songs and compete for cash and prizes! Witness raw talent and heartfelt storytelling as each contestant performs an original song, showcasing their passion and artistry.

Whether you're a music lover or a supporter of local talent, this is a night you won’t want to miss. Bring friends and arrive early to get your spot to cheer on your favorites, enjoy incredible live music, and be part of a community that celebrates creativity. First, second and third place winners will be announced at the end of the event as well as a People's Choice winner selected by the audience. 

Grab your chair and meet us under the shade for this free, family-friendly event. Featuring ample parking, a covered pavilion, and ceiling fans, Watersound Town Center is located at the entrance to the Watersound Origins community on Hwy 98 just west of Inlet Beach.

The response has been incredible! Nearly 30 talented songwriters applied to take part in this year’s Songwriters Showdown event. Expect heartfelt storytelling, incredible live music, and plenty of community spirit as selected the finalists perform original, homegrown songs as they compete for cash prizes and bragging rights.

After much deliberation, here are the finalists taking the stage: Emily Bass, Mason Charles, Jose “J.” Cruz, Aubrey Freeman, John Gilleran, Hanson LeBeouf, Tom Lennon, Erin Mitchell, Tom Pritchett, & Eric Stockton.

Expect powerful performances, original songs, and plenty of community spirit as these finalists compete for cash prizes—and bragging rights!

While you’re there, be sure to stop by the CAA Membership Tent for a special experience—celebrated local artist Wes Hinds will be customizing hats live, exclusively for event guests.

And don’t miss your chance to bid on a truly one-of-a-kind piece: a signed guitar from Lady A, featuring signatures from Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley, and Dave Haywood! This rare 30A Session collectible was generously donated by The 30A Company. All proceeds support the CAA, local artists and musicians. Bidding will be open until 8 p.m.

Last Call Eats food truck will be on site offering food for purchase. Grab your friends, bring your chairs and beverages and get ready to jam.
