February 24, 2026 by Kurt Lischka
Walton County Tourism is expanding its free Beach Tram service on March 1, with routes running to and from regional beach accesses from the new 393 Municipal Parking Facility, which is 4 blocks north of 30A on Hwy 393 at Gulf Place, and Grayton Beach Municipal Parking Facility, which is 4 blocks north of 30A on Hwy 283.
Note that these large public parking lots have covered waiting areas with seating and restrooms, as well as inside air-conditioned waiting areas with local art.

The 393 MPF Beach Tram service will run daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The A-to-B Route will run directly from 393 MPF to Ed Walline Regional Beach Access (at Gulf Place on 30A), departing every 10 minutes. The West Route will include stops at Dune Allen Regional Beach Access (across from Stinky's Fish Camp) and Fort Panic Regional Beach Access (heart of Dune Allen Beach), departing every 15 minutes.

At Grayton Beach MPF, the A-to-B Route currently operates from 6 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. daily, with direct service to the corner of Hotz Avenue and Garfield Street (by the Red BAr) every 10 minutes. This route takes you to "downtown Grayton" dining, shopping and the main beach access at the Western Lake outfall where all the action is. The new Grayton Beach Community Center is being built there that will have restrooms and community info. Beginning March 1, there will be a new West Route running from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with stops at Blue Mountain Regional Beach Access (Hwy 83), Gulfview Heights Regional Beach Access (south of 30A behind Goatfeathers) and over to the 393 MPF at Gulf Place. This route will depart every 15 minutes.
