Fishing is more than just a past time in South Walton – it’s a way of life!

Here are the updated details for the free Seaside Shuttle for 2025.

The historic Seagrove Villas Motel welcomed SoWal beach lovers for over 60 years, but the doors closed and the neon sign dimmed for the final time in 2012.

All that will remains are the memories of so many beach lovers who have stayed at the motel and villas over the years. Thankfully, a few of the cottages on the north side of Scenic 30A will remain as shops. Perhaps to some a sad reminder of sunny days gone by when they visited the motel as part of "Old Florida".

There's not much better for your body and your mind than getting back to nature among the trees and flowers, dunes, wind, water and wildlife.

South Walton's natural beauty is astounding, and the main reason folks flock to our coast. The beach is the main draw, but just off the beach some of our favorite spots can feel like a world away.

There has been a lot of discussion and interest for trolleys serving South Walton and 30A. The county has a tram with limited runs and is looking to expand. Their have been private groups proposing trolleys to serve various areas along 30A. Many of our beach communities have their own trolleys and busses to shuttle people around 30A and to the beach.

The parking lot may be gravel but the view is strictly high class at Thomas' Donut & Snack Shop on the west end of Panama City Beach. Located about 3.5 miles east of Carillon Beach, at 19208 Front Beach Road, Thomas Donuts is a place tourists seek out and locals go for breakfast and lunch.
