Seaside Park & Ride On The Free Shuttle

January 31, 2025 by SoWal Staff

Here are the updated details for the free Seaside Shuttle for 2025.

Seaside runs a shuttle that is accessible to guests, locals, and employees at no cost. The complimentary shuttle will pick you up from a designated lot off of Hwy 331 South (Google Maps Link) and loop to Central Square in Seaside, with pickup and drop off just behind the square at the Lyceum gateway. Multiple shuttles run simultaneously to minimize wait times and accommodate as many riders as possible. Shuttle hours of operation are 6 a.m. to midnight, 7 days a week.

The Seaside Shuttle is no longer running from the "Grayton Central "parking lot on Hwy 283 just north of Scenic 30A. The lot in Grayton is under construction to add parking, restrooms, Walton County tram stop, etc. The Seaside Shuttle will still use the 331 South parking lot even after the Grayton lot is finished. However the Grayton lot is still open for parking if you want to take the Walton County Tram to downtown Grayton and the adjacent public beach and back. The trams run daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. or as needed. The "Grayton Central" parking lot is also a grayt place to park and bike or stroll from the lot to Grayton Beach, WaterColor, Seaside, Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach State Park, Chanticleer Eatery, Uptown Grayton, Borago, AJ's Grayton Beach, The Red Bar, and more dining and shopping right across the street from.

Managed Parking Program Begins Saturday, March 1, 2025
Starting Saturday, March 1, 2025, SEASIDE®’s managed parking program will return like last year with hourly rates paired with our complimentary Seaside Shuttle. This program ensures visitors have access to well-managed parking while reducing congestion. Like in previous years, hourly rates will vary along Smolian Circle and other designated parking spots based on the day, occupancy levels, and town events. These rates are designed to maintain proper vacancy levels, allowing for an efficient and fair parking experience for all guests.

Simplified Parking Process
Upon arrival, visitors will notice marked signs around Smolian Circle and other designated locations indicating paid parking zones. To make parking even more convenient, SEASIDE® is excited to introduce a Text-To-Pay option for 2025. This new service allows guests to pay for parking with a quick text, making the process even faster and easier. Like last year, guests can also use the Passport Parking App to pay. We recommend downloading the Passport Parking App in advance, which can be found here.

For guests staying in SEASIDE® Town Center, vacation rental agencies will provide parking passes for designated areas during your stay.

FAQs About Managed Parking

Why is SEASIDE® continuing this parking program?
SEASIDE® aims to manage parking efficiently, ensuring all visitors can enjoy the town center. Before managed parking, spots were often occupied all day. With this program, parking turnover has doubled, offering more opportunities for guests and supporting local merchants.

Why is SEASIDE® charging for parking?
The managed parking initiative results from years of research, feedback, and collaboration. It was implemented to address growing parking challenges along 30A while enhancing the visitor experience. Parking proceeds directly fund the complimentary shuttle and other parking-related expenses.

How easy is it to pay for parking?
It’s simple! First-time visitors can text the number on the designated signage to pay or scan a QR code, download the app, and input their details. Returning users can quickly pay using their saved accounts.

A Better Experience for All
SEASIDE® continues to refine its systems to ensure a better experience for visitors, employees, and merchants alike. With managed parking and complimentary shuttle services, guests can focus on enjoying all the charm and beauty SEASIDE® has to offer.

WaterColor has a shuttle that makes its way to the beach. He could also park at the Grayton Central public parking lot on 283 and take the free tram to the beach. https://SoWal.com/public-accesses
Are masks required on the shuttle?
Not at this time.
What's the address to this public parking area?
Does this parking area allow for overnight parking? Trying to find public parking since my condo only allows for 2 cars
Public parking in South Walton does not allow overnight parking. Parking in SoWal is limited and you should not bring more vehicles than you have spaces at your rental. Unfortunately, many of the rentals in South Walton do not have enough parking.
Is the Seaside Shuttle running still? Are the hours the same?
Yes it is running but there is also free parking in Seaside this off season.
Is the shuttle still running?
What times does the Seaside bus come to Grayton transportation center?
According to Seaside: The Seaside Shuttle picks up from the public parking lot on 283 South, directly across from the Shops of Grayton (Hurricane Oyster Bar & Grill and Black Bear) located in Grayton Beach from 6 a.m. to midnight. You might check directly with them if it is critical for you - info@seasidefl.com Most employees at Seaside park in Grayton and ride the shuttle so it should be consistent.
Hi ! Wondering if the shuttle picks up at Grayton at certain times or is it random? If there is a schedule could you please share. Thank you !!
Time varies but about every 20-30 minutes.
How do I contact the seaside shuttle for comment?
(As of Thursday, July 20th, 2023) It should be noted that this is a Seaside employee shuttle that allows the general public to ride only if there's space left. We got in line around 8:10pm on a Thursday night and watched 3 shuttles pass through picking up only Seaside employees because they had priority. Ended up waiting an hour. I gave up and ran the 2.5 miles back to the car to pick up my family. Not a great experience when it's closing time in Seaside...
Will the Seaside shuttle go back to the Grayton lot once it’s completed?
No it won't. The story has been updated to reflect that.
