Eight years ago Larry and Beje Beasley discoverd Seacrest while visiting SoWal and fell in love. On a trip four years later, heading back home after spring break they realized it was time for a change.
In days gone by, outdoor produce markets like the venerable “Cotton’s” dotted the landscape along the major highways of Walton County. Today they're gone, but at the Cypress Cattle and Produce Market on US 331 North you can buy fresh produce and participate in the latest trend to “buy local” by perusing a variety of vegetables that have been raised on the Langford farm right here in Walton County.

Today let's put a few questions to one of our favorite vendors at the Seaside Farmers Market. Veronica and her husband began attending the Seaside Farmer's Market last February (2011) and have been a regular ever since.
How long have you lived in the area and where are you from?
My husband and I moved to Niceville in September of 2010 when he was relocated by his company. I am originally from South Florida, but I have lived all over Florida
I started vending at the Seaside market in December of last year when I decided I needed some different ways to spread my name and to sell my products while doing that. The reason I wanted to sell pastries is because of my knowledge in the area.
You're invited to learn how to cook from Executive Chef David Cunningham. Each class, Chef will be teaching and preparing a three course meal. Classes are $60 per person and include all three courses plus wine pairing. Classes start at 11am and run until 2pm. On the spot where the old Wheelhouse Restaurant stood for many years has risen a modern restaurant/bar in the heart of Seagrove. They hope to be ready to have a soft opening this weekend.The classic and clean lines of the building seem to fit right in with the mod cottages across the street at Seagrove Villas Motel.

Henderson Farm started vending at Seaside during the summer of 2010 when they had an excess of delicious, spicy off-season arugula in the garden. Their friend, Celeste Dick, an enthusiastic supporter of the Seaside Farmer's Market, suggested that we try offering our extra produce there. And so it began...!
