The 2013-14 Leadership Walton class of the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce, comprised of 15 participants, has embarked on two community service projects this year and is seeking financial support for project completion.

The hands-on projects are designed to support two Walton County organizations, the Walton County Arc and the South Walton Senior Center, both established to help those in need, but that, many times, lack resources and labor to remedy those needs.

The Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation and Ocean Reef Vacation Rentals and Real Estate is delighted to present Gimme Abbey, a tribute to the two greatest bands in rock and roll history, on April 24 at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village. The Return and Satisfaction, two nationally acclaimed tribute bands, have joined forces for this special tribute that takes audiences back to the 60’s.

The Back Yard of Love is an absolute favorite in Grayton Beach. Locals know how special it is and every year more tourists find it and fall in love. The quaint gem is situated on the grounds of Hibiscus Coffee & Guesthouse, under a canopy of majestic old oaks. It may be the coziest spot in town and the perfect place to enjoy Sunday brunch, a cold mimosa, and some great live music.
 

Alaqua Animal Refuge and HEART Animal Rescue, two local non-profit organizations dedicated to the care and shelter of homeless animals, are teaming up for the first annual Furry Fest, a fun, fund-raising effort for two and four legged friends to benefit the two organizations.

Make plans to join Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN) for dinner at Borago in Grayton Beach on Tuesday, Feb. 18 for A Moveable Feast! Relax and enjoy a delicious dinner with your friends and family and Borago will donate a portion of the proceeds from the night to help local children receive the medical, dental, vision and mental healthcare they need and deserve.

You and your four-legged friends are invited to come to the Shops of Grayton on March 1 and be a part of history. Dog Daze is a fundraiser for Alaqua Animal Refuge and for $50 you can have a professional artist help you add your pup's portrait to the "New Dogs of Grayton" wall of canine fame.

Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation (MKAF) invites all art, food and beach lovers to “BEach My Valentine”, a romantic evening under the stars at Bud & Alleys in Seaside on Saturday, February 15 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 

Sinfonia" invites="" ladies="" put="" their="" to="" with="">Wine, Women & Shoes at Sandestin, Feb. 7-9, 2014. This exciting weekend includes outstanding food, fine wine and high-fashion events. Serving the region with a professional symphony orchestra, Sinfonia presents the Second Annual Wine, Women & Shoes event to help fund much-needed music education and music initiatives throughout the community.

It’s time for the second Ladies That Lunch event at the Vue on 30a restaurant in Santa Rosa Beach on Friday, January 31, 2014 at noon. The proceeds from the event will benefit the Children’s Home Society of Florida.  This is the second lunch in the series, which is produced quarterly by barber & gall promotions.
 

The 2014 Tasting of Champions: Wine Walkabout and Tasting event will be held on January 24 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa’s newly renovated Emerald Ballroom.
 
This Annual Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF) event features more than 600 wines to sample and preview from the 2014 South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival (SoWalWine) entries, including medal winners in over 60 categories and food stations.
