Hitting The Fnish Line For Seaside Race Weekend Feb 12-15

The Seaside School Half Marathon + 5K has been canceled due to weather.

The familiar sound of sneakers hitting the pavement and the collective energy of thousands of runners will soon return to the sugar-white sands of South Walton.

From February 12–15, 2026, the community gathers for the 24th annual Seaside School Half Marathon + 5K, an event that has evolved far beyond a simple race into a four-day celebration of education and coastal life.

The weekend kicks off Friday evening with an annual favorite, the Taste of the Race. Under the stars at the Seaside Lyceum, attendees sample coastal cuisine from the area's top chefs while supporting the Seaside School Foundation. It sets a festive tone for the main events on Sunday, where runners traverse the scenic beauty of 30A, passing through Western Lake and the pine forests of Grayton Beach State Park.

Since its inception, the race has served as the primary fundraiser for The Seaside School, Inc., one of the oldest public charter schools in Florida. Every registration helps provide world-class education for local middle and high schoolers. Whether you’re aiming for a personal record on the flat, fast course or walking the 5K with friends, the spirit of the weekend is contagious.

Between the vibrant Race Expo and the post-race party with live music and local brews, there’s a sense of homecoming that draws families back year after year. We’ll see you at the starting line—don't forget to grab your commemorative t-shirt and a celebratory drink at The Bud & Alley’s after you cross the finish.

RACE COURSE SCHEDULE

• Half Marathon: Starts at 7:00 AM CST
• 5K: Starts at 7:30 AM CST

At around 10:00 AM CST, the Half Marathon course will begin to reopen to traffic from the west end of Hwy 30A. Runners still on the course will be directed to the off-road, paved path. Timing will continue until 10:30 AM CST, but please note there will be no support along the course after this time.

RESTROOMS
Convenient restrooms are available behind the SEASIDE® Post Office and the grassy area on the west side of Central Square. Additionally, portable restrooms will be placed at intervals along the race route on 30A.
 
WATER STATIONS
Half Marathon: Stay hydrated with Water and Gatorade at seven spots along the course and at the finish line.
5K: Water and Gatorade will be available at two spots along the course and at the finish line.

MEDICAL AID
Medical aid will be available along the race course and near the finish line.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS AND MAPS
Experience our fast, mostly flat courses with stunning scenic views of the coastal communities along 30A. Volunteers and local law enforcement will ensure safe passage at intersections, while community groups cheer you on and provide entertainment. Find the course maps below:
