Salon Twist in Seagrove Beach excels at every aspect of hair styling, precision cuts, and brilliant color. Owner Gina Shiflett has worked in the beauty industry for over 25 years. She doesn't let a day go by without feeling grateful for her success and the loyalty of her clients. 

Gina opened the salon in March of 2004 after relocating from Atlanta to South Walton. She grew up in the industry, working in her mother’s beauty shop. 

Gina followed in her mother’s footsteps and became a hair stylist in Atlanta. She worked at a large, upscale salon there for 17 years, where she learned a lot about life, business, and customer service. Gina finally decided it was time for a change, so she moved to the beach and hasn’t looked back. 

“The universe just kind of throws you where you are supposed to be. This is where I’m supposed to be," Gina says. 

Salon Twist is one of the most successful and professional salons you'll find anywhere in the area, or in the country for that matter. For the third year in a row Salon Twist has been named one of the Top 100 salons in the U.S. by Elle Magazine, August 2013 issue. Salon Twist is joined on the list by only four other salons in Florida, three in Miami and one in Ft. Lauderdale.
 

Salon Twist has a staff of six professionals including Gina, who work closely as a team to keep customers looking their best. Gina and her staff strive to make clients feel happy, refreshed and feeling good about themselves. Gina refers to Salon Twist as “a business of kindness.” Gina and her staff are constantly giving back and looking for new ways to make the world a better place. Salon Twist has thrown a few very successful fundraisers, including helping Sister Schubert’s raise $100,000 for orphans in Ukraine and another event to raise money for mosquito nets in Africa.

Every year Salon Twist invites the mothers of children with cancer from The Lighthouse charity to come in for a makeover. These mothers are in hospitals most of the time and never think about how they look or feel. Salon Twist gives them a much-needed day to relax while being pampered and beautified.
