Topsail Hill Preserve State Park Workshop Sep 21
September 18, 2017 by SoWal Staff
Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is one of South Walton's jewels. The park is on the western end of Scenic 30A where it meets Hwy 98, encompassing two coastal dune lakes and three miles of beautiful beach.
Lakes, pristine beaches, old-growth long leaf pines, sand pine scrub, and a variety of wetlands offer a bird-watching and hiking paradise. Visitors may bike, walk, or enjoy a quick ride to the beach on the tram service to swim, fish, sunbathe, or beachcomb.
The state park protects perhaps the most outstanding natural communities in the Florida Panhandle, and includes one of the largest state park campgrounds in Florida.
A public workshop is being held September 21, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., with a presentation at 6pm, at South Walton County High School, Media Center, 645 Greenway Trail, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459. The workshop is a forum for the public to provide input on the future management of the park.
This workshop is a unique opportunity for the public to shape the future direction of the park and we hope you can attend for the shared effort it takes to continually improve the Florida Park Service.
