Wine Women & Shoes (WWS) returns to the Emerald Coast Feb. 19-21, 2016 with an indulgent weekend featuring elegant vintner dinners prepared by regional celebrity chefs paired with high-end wineries, fashion, music and parties to benefit Sinfonia Gulf Coast and Sinfonia's music education initiatives.          

Valentine’s weekend typically means romantic dinners and flowers for most, but for South Walton residents and visitors alike, it signals the highly anticipated annual Valentine Tour of Homes presented by the Cultural Arts Alliance (CAA) of Walton County. The tour is known for showcasing stunning interiors, architecturally acclaimed homes and picturesque settings bringing inspiration to tour goers’ winter weekend at the beach.
 

Seaside’s Escape To Create (E2C) artist residency launches its 25th season with the arrival of a dozen artists selected from an international pool of applicants for the renowned creative retreat. During their residency artists, authors, filmmakers, playwrights, and musicians will bring a little magic to the South Walton community.

Sinfonia Gulf Coast's milestone 10th season continues with Made in America performance featuring Jamie Bernstein and Julia Bullock at Destiny Worship Center in Miramar Beach on Friday, Jan. 29 at 7:30pm. Jamie Bernstein, daughter of famous American conductor/composer Leonard Bernstein, will return to the Sinfonia stage to narrate Aaron Copland’s "Lincoln Portrait." Soprano Julia Bullock will make her Sinfonia debut.

On January 14th 2016, the public is invited to a special open house featuring the works of Melody Bogle, South Walton Artist of the Year. The open house takes place at 21 Days Lane in Point Washington from 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Bogle specializes in techniques known as “en plein air,” which means “in the open air.” 

In our area, we are fortunate to have two premier beach destinations that merge almost seamlessly together. While they are neighbors, each offers a unique experience. The remarkable communities of which we speak are, of course, South Walton and Destin. 
 
South Walton is comprised of a varied collection of “towns” that nestle predominantly along Scenic Highway 30A. Each offers their own interpretation of a life well lived by the beach. 

Come out to V. Lala Galleries at 30Avenue for “An Evening of Art & Artists” on Saturday, December 12 from 4:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. The special holiday event will feature an array of works by visiting artists as well as a special appearance by recording artist Morgan James. Bah Humbug! Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) will present the second annual performance of the holiday classic A Dickens Christmas at various venues along Northwest Florida’s Gulf coast throughout the month of December. Experience a unique adaptation of Charles Dickens’ famous story A Christmas Carol in this up close and intimate setting. Three talented professional actors seamlessly change from character to character as they bring to life the tale of Scrooge and his transformational night with three ghosts.

Epic recording artist Morgan James returns to the Sinfonia stage with her larger than life vocals to perform all of your holiday favorites with the orchestra, plus more, on Dec. 11 at 7:30 pm at Destiny Worship Center. This holiday performance is perfect for the entire family.
