This year's Seaside Community Yard Sale on Feb. 9, 2013 was the biggest yet. The event happens every Spring and Fall - you never know what you might find.

Dogs and owners gathered on December 9 from 1-4pm for the 2nd Annual Rosemary Beach Unleashed Community Festival presented by Rosemary Beach Foundation and sponsored by SoWal.com.

Each year, Santa arrives in Seaside on the firetruck leading the South Walton Holiday parade. He makes a grand entrance and then "turns on the town" - flipping the switch to light up the town's Christmas decorations. This year, the Coleman Pavilion was lit with 4,500 white lights.

Now In its sixth year, Cottages for Kids, presented by SoWal.com and benefiting Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN), debuted five designer Cottages in Rosemary Beach for the month of November. The cottages will be open for tours on weekends plus Thanksgiving Day through November 24  in East Long Green on Scenic 30A. It's right in the center of town and you can't miss it. This year's excellent events, sponsored by SoWal.com,  sold out early: Al Fresco Reserve Tasting at Ruskin Place, Seeing Red Wine Festival at Seaside, Taste of the Beach After Dark at Finz in Sandestin, and the Taste of The Beach & Charity Auction at the Sandestin Hilton. A collaboration between the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce and Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF), Taste of The Beach.

The semi-annual Seaside Community Yard Sale is a blast. Everyone loves a bargain and the excitement is off the charts. Some vendors arrive at 3:30 AM to set up and the first shoppers arrive earlier than the early bird to get the worm. You never know what you might find, from a funky piece of local art, to a bolt of fabulous fabric, to a cranky old fishing reel.

This year's Rags To Riches Regatta took place on Grayton Beach on Sunday, July 1, 2012. It was a colorful and action-packed SoWalcom-sponsored tradition residents and visitors love to take part in and make memories.

South Walton locals know one of the best ways to kick off Summer is the annual Grayton Beach Kids Fishing Tournament. This year it was a bit cloudy and windy but no one seemed to mind.

Registration was only $5.00 per kid for boys and girls under the age of 15. The tourney is intended to promote responsible use of our marine resources through recreational fishing. Each participant receives a free rod and reel, tackle box, beach rod holder, bait, Pompano rigs and weights. Eighteen gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded! 

Another perfect Spring day in SoWal was the setting for the 6th Annual Bombora Sun and Surf Spring Bocce Ball Tournament at Rosemary Beach, Florida on April 7th, 2011. Congratulations to  trophy winners Gage Golden and Reese Harrison. Find out more http://www.facebook.com/groups/191706614478
