Miss Julie is a naturalistic play written in 1888 by August Strindberg dealing with class,love, lust, the battle of the sexes, and the interaction among them.

The official results are in for our 2012 "You're So SoWal if..." contest!  We had so much FUNN reading all of the GRAYT entries! This year's submissions ranged from heartwarming to hilarious, emotional to whimsical, and of course some may be a bit controversial.

We're overwhelmed with the participation of so many SoWal beach lovers from near and far, and thank everyone so much for sharing what SoWal means to them, especially our loyal SoWal Forum members. 

Registration is now open for the popular half  marathon and 5K event, which will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2013. This always sells out quickly so register now! 

Presented again by Vera Bradley, the Seaside Race attracts runners from around the country and is one of the signature fundraising  events for the Seaside School Inc., an award-winning public charter school in SoWal. 

The outdoor movie series at Seaside this summer was so successful, that they're continuing into the fall with four classic favorites. In the Seaside amphitheater, starting at 8:00pm, bring your low back chairs, blanket, and cooler and make it a family affair in the great outdoors. The September weather is perfect in SoWal and what better way to enjoy an evening outside than watching a great movie with friends and family. See the September schedule below:

Adopt a rubber duck and join in a day of family fun at the 2nd Annual Emerald Coast Duck Regatta hosted by the Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast Guild.

On Saturday, Oct. 6, approximately 2,500 ducks will begin their race across the Lagoon at the Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Prizes will be awarded to the owners of the first ducks to cross the finish line!

Wait til you see all the joy on the kids's faces. Cottages for Kids at Rosemary Beach is so fun and rewarding. Builders and architects are needed to chip in and help build childrens' smiles. Not only in the regular smiley sense but also helping make kids' smiles better through free dental care.

Planning is underway for Taste of the Beach 2012 kick off event, "Vine to Wine - A Wine Preview" on Aug. 24th, 2012. This year the event is being held in the former Victoria's Secret space at Grand Boulevard. Right now, it's just an empty building, but with help of Monark Events, it will transform into a super chic event space!
