The latest real estate report for January 2014 in Walton County reflects a healthy market with an increase of 36% of single family home closings over the same month last year.

Valentine’s weekend typically means romantic dinners and flowers for most, but it also signals the beloved annual Valentine Tour of Homes hosted by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA). The tour showcases stunning interiors, architecturally acclaimed homes and picturesque settings on Saturday, Feb.15 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m and Sunday, Feb. 16 from 12 – 4 p.m.

The latest real estate report for December 2013 in Walton County shows a mixed bag, likely due to the seasonality of sales, but also some interesting continuing trends which show the strength of our real estate market.

1. When did Emerald Homes start doing business in South Walton?

The latest real estate report for November 2013 in Walton County shows the market continues to improve and in some areas is downright hot. The number of sales are up and so is the percentage of original listing price that sellers are receiving on closed sales. This shows that sellers are in a good position and buyers are active.

ResortQuest Real Estate recently announced the November top producers for its offices from Perdido Key to Panama City Beach, FL. Joe Porter of the Destin office received highest honors for top closed sales and Rick and Dale Martinez of the Miramar Beach office received highest honors for top closed listings out of more than 100 ResortQuest realtors.
 

The latest real estate report for October 2013 in Walton County shows some interesting statistics compared to the same month last year - cash sales are up and so is inventory. It's been awhile since we've seen inventory rise compared to the same month compared to the previous year. Not really surprising given the number of sellers who see a hot market and are looking to cash in, also the high amount of building and spec homes under construction.
