Alys Beach is celebrating the arrival of fall. We had a great Labor Day weekend, including a fun-filled day at the Inaugural Alys Beach 5K run. The event had approximately 250 runners and another 50 kids participating in the 1-mile fun run.

It’s been an exciting and rewarding first month for tours at the 2012 Coastal Living Dream House! To that end, the numbers beginning with tours on June 29, 2012 through July 29, 2012 show over 4,000 guests have toured the home.

Through this period donations of over $30,000 have been collected. These funds are directly impacting our community! Local foundations and charities that will benefit include the Rosemary Beach Foundation and its related South Walton organization volunteer staffing partners.

The summer season continues to reflect a welcomed response from customers seeing valued opportunities in the real estate market along 30A. Many of the buyers are engaging in the 30A market to secure a property for their families to enjoy for a lifetime.

Sales through second quarter 2012 along 30A delivered a 28% increase in homesite sales and a 17% increase in home sales compared to respective sales through second quarter in 2011.

Combine coastal chic with the latest in modern technolgy and you have the ultimate beach house. Coastal Living magazine, Rosemary Beach Realty and Visit South Walton are pleased to announce that tours of the 15th Anniversary Ultimate Beach House are underway!

Although Thomas Gallion and his family relocated from Montgomery, Alabama two years ago, his family has owned property in South Walton since the 1950’s. He was chosen by Atlanta-based Benecki Homes to supervise the construction of the 2012 Coastal Living Ultimate Dream House, currently under consrtuction in Rosemary Beach.  

Let's take a look at real estate sales and what's been happening in Walton County lately. Single family new home sales are up 205% over March of 2011 and for the year they are up 169%. 

DR Horton seems to be the trend leader in this category. They have more building permits than any other builder in Walton County at this time and new construction can be seen everywhere in the county including Mussett Bayou Estates, Santa Rosa Golf Villas, Peach Creek, Sacred Oaks, Driftwood Estates, Whispering Lakes, Water Oaks, and Windsor Estates.
